Batman cleans up
The latest Batman film won 5 prizes at the People's Choice Awards in LA last night. The Dark Knight took home awards for Favourite Superhero, Favourite Movie, Favourite Onscreen Match-Up, Favourite Action Movie and Favourite Cast. Christian Bale, who played Batman, his co-star Aaron Eckhart and director Christopher Nolan, got a standing ovation when they went on stage to collect the prizes. And Christian paid tribute to the late Heath Ledger, who played the Joker, in his brief acceptance speech, saying, "Here's to Heath".
Chris Brown and Will Smith were both double winners at the awards show, with Katy Perry, Heroes and The Simpsons all taking home prizes as well.
